We are a working dairy operation in the village of Sall, near Kalaskey, in Gujranwala district. This page tells you who we are and how we got here.
Cheema Dairy Farm started the way most farms in Punjab start: a few animals, a piece of land, and a family that knew the work. Over the years the herd grew, and so did the farm’s role in the community. Today the farm supports its own dairy operation and runs an advisory and veterinary service for the surrounding farmers.
We chose to stay in Village Sall because the land suits dairy. The grass is good. The water is fair. The road brings buyers in from Gujranwala city. And the farmers around us are willing to try new things if a neighbour tries them first.
Most days you will find our team in one of three places: the shed, looking after our own animals; on a visit to a neighbouring farm, sorting out a question on housing, feed or a sick calf; or at a meeting with farmers from the surrounding villages, talking through the next season.
We keep written records of vaccination, treatment and visitation. We track which farms we are working with and what we have done at each. The records are part of being useful, and they are part of being trusted.
